Optiemus Infra forays into drone manufacturing

Optiemus Infracom, a telecom and manufacturing company in India, has entered the unmanned systems market with the launch of locally-designed drones. The company plans to sell the drones in India and overseas markets, with a focus on sectors such as defence, healthcare, agriculture, logistics, mining, railways, and oil & gas. Optiemus Infracom will invest Rs 250 million in its new division, Optiemus Unmanned Systems (OUS), for research, development, and manufacturing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
